This is a training course provided throughout the North Region, where participants learn how to provide initial help to people who are showing signs of a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
Four modules: Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Psychosis, Substance Use Disorder
Anyone can benefit from Mental Health First Aid: Families affected by mental health problems, teachers, health service providers, emergency workers, frontline workers dealing with the public, volunteers, human resources professionals, case managers, employers and community groups. The course runs on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 4 and 5 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. The cost is $330 + $35 manual. Contact CNC Quesnel for more details.
