Projects & Events

The Chamber organizes several projects and events throughout the year. These projects help to promote our many businesses, products and services in Quesnel and the district. These projects can vary from year to year.

BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS

The annual Business Excellence Awards highlight businesses that stand out in the community. Businesses are nominated by members of the public and judged by an impartial judging committee. Winners are announced at the awards evening during Small Business Week in October.

SUMMER NETWORKING EVENT

The Chamber partners with Community Futures to host a fun summer networking event for businesses in the community. The past two years, this event has been a summer office Olympics with some creative games, a BBQ dinner, and prizes!

HOME AND OUTDOOR ADVENTURE SHOW

The Home & Outdoor Adventure Show has become an annual event for local businesses to showcase their products and services. The event will be held at the West Fraser Centre April 28 & 29th 2018. It hosts a wide variety of businesses and offers something for everyone!

PROJECTS

The Chamber may engage in specific projects it deems interesting or relevant to the business community including Business After Hours, Luncheon Sessions, lobbying and advocacy efforts, and more!

Business Energy Advisor Service

Are you eligible?

If you are a BC business and spend less than $50,000 on electricity per year then you may be eligible for the LiveSmart BC: Small Business Program*.

What do you get? A Business Energy Advisor will visit your business and work directly with you to identify potential energy and money saving opportunities, including lighting, hot water, heating and ventilation.

How this works? The Business Energy Advisor will perform a FREE walk-through energy assessment of your office or building. Then, they will connect you to energy saving incentive programs, contractors and technology providers to help you make these improvements a reality (see example).

How do you register for the program? There are only 20 assessments scheduled for your area this year. You can register through the Prince George Chamber of Commerce or directly by emailing sorin@pgchamber.bc.ca.
